About the Corporate Honor Roll and the Distinguished Corporate Honor Roll

The Florida Mentoring Partnership, formerly the Governor’s Mentoring Initiative, first initiated the Corporate Honor Roll in 2000. The Corporate Honor Roll is designed to recognize businesses supporting the Florida Mentoring Partnership. There are two levels of the Corporate Honor Roll.

Over the past six years, Florida has seen a tremendous effort by its corporate leadership, who has come on board to support mentoring, with the list growing from 60 businesses to more than 200 serving on the Corporate Honor Roll statewide. The Florida Mentoring Partnership continues to formally recruit and recognize those businesses that have taken on this charge to lead by example.

To become eligible for the Distinguished Corporate Honor Roll a company must meet certain criteria:
  • The company must have a CEO or President who serves as a mentor.
  • The company must have written policy supporting administrative leave for mentoring.
  • Each company, once accepted into the program, receives a certificate acknowledging its participation and is listed on our Distinguished Corporate Honor Roll webpage.
